TThe boroughs Teenage Pregnancy Strategy has been developed through consultation between the Health Service and the LEA. The ten year Strategy outlines the commitment of key borough services to work together to reach a number of targets that will reduce the overall figure of teenage pregnancies for Barking and Dagenham. This includes increasing the number of secondary schools participating in Sex and Relationship Education peer education projects to, initially 50%. Initiatives can be funded through a number of funding streams, including the Standards Fund. |
