The 2020 Vision sets out aspirations of all the Boroughs citizens and is based around the elements of Economy, Environment and Equity. The Vision for the Borough is closely linked with regeneration as they both have the over arching aim of improving the quality of life and the opportunities for all in the Borough. The vision of what the Borough will look like by 2020 includes aiming for a more socially and culturally diverse local population and greater social diversity.
The overall vision is that the greater personal wealth of residents and workers will enable a vibrant local economy with a wide variety of local retail, leisure and cultural facilities, greater choice in accessible and affordable public transport, and a better standard of living for all residents, including people who are not economically active. |
